Ravenna Public Library
A century after the Ravenna Public Library began serving patrons in 1918, a new public library building was dedicated for public use on August 1, 2018. The Ravenna Public Library houses a 13,000 volume collection and offers patrons access to thousands of movies, audio books, eBooks, and magazines. Thanks to a dedicated staff and library board, the library boasts a large variety of programming, events, and services for civic enjoyment and advancement. From infancy to seniors, the library provides something for everyone.
In 2021, the Ravenna Public Library received a 3 Star rating from the Library Journal, one of fifteen libraries in the state of Nebraska to receive a star rating from the journal. In addition to this award, Prairie Hills Wireless provides the library with terrestrial fixed wireless offering 300 mbps connection for patrons and members of the public. Another new service for the library is the recent addition of an AWE Learning Computer, which enables children ages 0-8 to access educational content without accessing the internet.
