Ravenna State Lake is a one of a kind camping area operated in a partnership of Buffalo County, City of Ravenna and the Ravenna Area Vision Foundation. The lake area is conveniently located just off HWY 2 and less than 1 mile from Ravenna for quick accessibility to amenities yet still separate enough to thoroughly enjoy a piece of isolated wilderness. While less than a mile from Ravenna the lake is also only 20 miles from Kearney for any additional amenities you may require.
Ravenna State Lake draws travelers throughout the season especially during Memorial Day weekend, Annevar, Independence Day, Sturgis, Junk Jaunt and more!  It is also a popular and beautiful location for weddings, receptions, reunions and more with its covered community shelter.
Ravenna State Lake is the name a majority of people will utilize or still see online. However, the lake was actually taken over by Buffalo County in 1999 and is now technically called Buffalo County Lake which is what you will see on the vertically placed steel beam sign when you enter on the south side of the lake.
So enjoy your stay at the lake and make sure to check out all that Ravenna has to offer while you are here! And remember, your contribution during your stay goes back into the development of the lake area to ensure your stay is even more enjoyable every time you come back!
