Each year the Senior Center holds at least three fund raisers to pay for special projects. Many volunteers help in all the aspects of running the Center. The Agency on Aging is located in Kearney, Nebraska and was established in 1973 to serve individuals 60 plus and their spouses. The Agency originally began serving five counties in south central Nebraska. At present, the Agency provides services to the following fourteen counties: Blaine, Loup, Garfield, Wheeler, Custer, Valley, Greeley, Sherman, Buffalo, Phelps, Kearney, Furnas, Harlan, and Franklin. The Agency has been dedicated to meeting the needs of all those persons served by the Agency since its inception in 1973.
