Emergency Services

Police 

The City of Ravenna employs its own police department. Chief of Police Ryan Kegley oversees the department, which staffs two other full-time officers and appoints the city clerk as police matron. Over the past several years, the Ravenna Police Department has been awarded several grants, enabling the department to have state-of-the-art equipment. The police department works cooperatively with the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and other entities to provide protection for the citizens of Ravenna.

Fire Department

Ravenna has a Volunteer Fire Department composed of 31 volunteers. The Volunteer Fire Department works cooperatively with the Rural Fire Department to protect the surrounding area.

Medical Emergency 
Ravenna’s Emergency Medical Services is also volunteer based.  The community has 7 volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians, once certified paramedic, and one First Responder who serve the Ravenna area within a radius of approximately 15 miles.
